Much loved U.S. network FX has opened the throttle again with Season 5 of hit show 'Mayans', featuring Syn Songs artist Calimossa's 'Algo Dulce' in Episode 8. Starring Emilio Rivera, Sarah Bolger and JD Pardo, alongside a star-studded cast, the show follows the criminal activities of motorcycle club, ‘Mayans M.C.’ in Southern California.
Calimossa's signature blend of Latin rhythms and soulful beats has been shared as a stand-out track in the show, with bi-lingual versions of his EP 'Secret Spices' available for licensing now in English and Spanish, as well as Japanese and Mandarin version of 'Algo Dulce' and a Mandarin version of 'Spiced'. Members of the cast, including Emilio Rivera, were quick to share their enthusiasm for ‘Algo Dulce’ on social media, with Calimossa currently gathering over 77,000 listeners per month on Spotify.
With subsequent sync placements in the U.S and Japan, Calimossa’s fast rising star has garnered attention from projects for Nissan and Red Robin.
